Industrial Minerals

The raw materials that comprise “industrial minerals” are what become the ingredients found in many essential products used by billions around the world, every day.  These materials are consumed by Americans at a rate of 24 tons per person each year!  Some of this volume is applied or ingested but most of it becomes the products and structures found around us daily.

Industrial minerals range from ball clay to borates, calcium carbonate to industrial sand, magnesia to soda ash.  They’re employed in fields as diverse as medicine and physical infrastructures, agriculture and energy, food and automobiles.

Modern Transportation is a long-time member to the Industrial Minerals Association of North America and has been a vital supply chain partner to a number of America’s iconic manufacturers – companies for whom industrial minerals are the raw materials of their production.  Few commercial carriers have the breadth and depth of expertise in the transport and handling of industrial minerals as Modern.
