88M Program
As you probably are aware, the 88M designation is the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) for Motor Transport Operator. These drivers are disciplined, technical experts responsible for maintaining and operating their tactical wheeled vehicles across various terrains and roadways while transporting troops, supplies and equipment for the U.S. Army. Point blank, they are the backbone of the Army’s transportation & logistics network.
At Modern, we are looking for team members who share those same qualities and named our program “88M” to highlight the specific type of veteran we seek.

Documentation Needed
- Commanders Certification Letter
- Memorandum for Record (MFR) stating the type of equipment driven and how long
- DD 214 – Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty
- 88M designation or similar
Requirements
We will consider all Military transportation experience involving a Military Operators License.
Exceptions
Once you receive your civilian CDL, Modern will recognize your Military driving experience as fulfilling the minimum driver requirements listed on the application.
